Why Do We Take Notes?
We take notes for several reasons:
- To ensure that all stakeholders are on the same page (literally)
- To create an exhaustive record of our collective brain damage
- To provide an excuse for not actually having to remember anything
How Do We Take Notes?
We use a standardized template, which includes:
- A bold, 24-point font, because we like to make a statement
- A font color that's as close to invisible as possible, for maximum readability
- A generous 10-point margin, because we value our sanity
Who Has To Read The Notes?
The following individuals have been assigned to read the notes:
- The CEO, because someone has to sign off on them
- The Intern, because they have nothing better to do
- A randomly selected team member, because we like to mix it up
What Happens If I Disagree With The Notes?
If you disagree with the notes, you may:
- Write a lengthy email explaining why the notes are wrong
- Start a new thread in our company-wide chat channel
- Call in sick and pretend you were never assigned to read them
