By the end of this chapter, you should have a deep understanding of how to make others do your work for you, without actually asking.
Remember, a good Coercionist is like a master baker: you add a dash of sugar, a pinch of salt, and a healthy dose of guilt-tripping.
Make others believe you are doing their bidding by making them think they are actually doing yours.
Example:
“Hey, I was just trying to get some work done, but I think we could use a break. Why don’t you take care of this task for me?”
This technique is also known as “The Fake Ask.”
Make others do your work by making them believe you are actually doing theirs.
Example:
“I was thinking, maybe we could use a meeting to discuss this project. I mean, I’m sure you have great ideas, right?”
This technique is also known as “The Meeting of the prophets.”
