Meeting 5: The Acquisition

It was a dark and stormy night, the kind of night where the only thing more unsettling than the thunder was the feeling that someone had been watching us from the shadows. But we didn't care, because we were on the cusp of something big. The Acquisition.

We had been waiting for this moment for weeks, months, maybe even years. The deal was done, the terms were agreed upon, and the checks were ready to be cut. It was time to take the plunge and join forces with our new partner, the enigmatic and reclusive tech mogul, Mr. X.

As we sat around the table, sipping our coffee and exchanging awkward small talk, we knew that this was it. The moment of truth. The acquisition that would change everything.

But little did we know, Mr. X had a few tricks up his sleeve. Or rather, a few clauses in the contract that we hadn't read as carefully as we thought. Like the one that gave him control of the company's coffee machine. All of them.

"What do you mean, 'all of them'?" I asked, my voice dripping with indignation.

"All of them," Mr. X replied, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Every last one of them."
