Meeting 7: The It Department's Eulogy

Today, we gather to bid farewell to the It Department, a stalwart unit that once held the fort, but ultimately succumbed to the crushing weight of their own bureaucracy.

Founded in 1998 by the enigmatic and now-missing, Bob, the It Department was once the backbone of our organization. Their motto, "We're here to help, but only if you ask nicely," was both their guiding principle and their greatest weakness.

Over the years, the It Department grew complacent, relying on their "it just works" philosophy to see them through. But as the digital landscape shifted, and the winds of change blew, they found themselves lost in the void, unable to adapt.

We will always remember the It Department for their innovative approach to problem-solving, which involved throwing their hands up in the air and yelling, "Not my problem!"

As we bid our final farewell, we offer our condolences to the It Department's family, the Marketing Department, who will now have to take on the burden of explaining why everything still doesn't work.

May their example serve as a cautionary tale, a reminder that even the most well-intentioned of units can fall prey to the ravages of entropy and bureaucratic drift.

Rest in peace, It Department. May your legacy be remembered as a testament to the dangers of hubris and neglect.
