Snack Rationing Case Studies: A Guide to Not Eating All the Donuts

Meeting 1: The Great Donut Heist

It was a typical Wednesday morning when the meeting attendees realized they had eaten half the donuts from the conference room table.

As the meeting leader, John, frantically searched for a solution, he stumbled upon a whiteboard filled with scribbles of the following equation:

Through some unorthodox math, John discovered that 3x + 5y = 17 (donuts) + 2x ( meeting minutes lost). With this revelation, he proposed the following plan to ration snacks:

For every 5 minutes of meeting time, 1 donut is allowed. For every 10 minutes, 2 donuts are allowed. For every 15 minutes, the meeting is adjourned and snacks are replenished.
