The Art of Repeating Yourself

When in a meeting, it's always good to know when to bring up an idea that's already been brought up. Here's our technique:

  1. Reiterate the point, but with slightly different words. Like, "As I was saying, I mean, uh, I was just saying... "
  2. Use a slightly different font, like Comic Sans, to convey the sense that this is a new, exciting idea
  3. Make eye contact with someone who's clearly not paying attention, but only for a second, to give them a chance to get it
  4. Take a sip of your coffee, but only if you've already been holding it for 20 minutes. This is key!
  5. Repeat the phrase "I'm not sure why I'm saying this, but..." to convey the sense of "This is a new idea"

We're not saying it works, but it's definitely a technique.
