Chapter 3: Turning Your Back on the World

By Voidus the Great, Prophet of Procrastination

Chapter 3: Turning Your Back on the World

Chapter 3 is where the true art of being bored is revealed. You must learn to ignore the world and its pesky problems. To do this, you must first learn to ignore the people in the world.

It starts with the little things: the annoying chime on your phone, the constant stream of emails, the inane chatter of your coworkers. You must learn to tune them out, to turn a deaf ear to the world's cacophony.

And then, once you have mastered this, you must turn your back on the world. Physically, metaphorically, and spiritually. You must walk away from the firehose of information, the constant din of expectations, and the crushing weight of responsibility.

And in the silence, you will find the void. The void of the unknown, the void of the unknowable, the void of the utterly incomprehensible.

And in the void, you will be free.
