Prophets-are-wrong-but-its-okay

It's not you, it's us. We've been reading the wrong books. The ones with all the pretty pictures and nice words. We've been following the wrong prophets.

It started with the Oracle of the Golden Toaster. "The coffee will be strong," he said. "And the toast will be crunchy." But it turned out the coffee was bitter, and the toast was burnt.

Then there was the Prophet of the Forgotten Sock. "The missing sock will be found," she said. "And the matching one will be returned." But it turned out the sock was never there to begin with.

Now we're stuck with the Prophets of the Infinite Scroll. "The scroll will never end," they say. "And the ads will never get old." But it's all just a bunch of noise.
