After 4 hours of discussing the topic, we have finally come to a consensus: that the consensus was pointless.
The committee spent 3 hours arguing about the color of the stapler on the table, 30 minutes deciding which chair to sit in, and 10 minutes wondering who ate the last donut in the break room.
Despite our best efforts, we failed to make any actual decisions. Well, except for deciding to take a longer break. And also deciding who was the best at playing 'who can burp the loudest' during the break.
