In which we discuss the art of unnecessary storytelling within our meetings.
Item 1: Excessive use of metaphors
John: "This meeting is like a symphony of ideas, with each note playing its part in perfect harmony."
Jane: "Actually, it's more like a cacophony of chaos, with each person talking over the other."
Item 2: Telling the same story three times
Bob: "I was just saying, have you guys heard about the new project? It's really going to change everything... I was saying, it's really going to change everything... I was just saying, it's really going to change everything."
Jane: "Bob, we get it. You're excited about the project. But can we please just move on now?"
Item 3: Using buzzwords as filler words
John: "So, like, we need to, you know, synergize our efforts, and, like, leverage our resources, and, like, disrupt the paradigm, you know?"
Jane: "Uh, John, can you just say what you mean?"
