The Inverted Pyramid Jerk
Meetings: where ideas are born, and so are headaches.
Technique 4: the inverted pyramid jerk is a meeting style where the attendees are the ones doing the talking, while the poor, unsuspecting facilitator tries to keep up with their rambling thoughts.
Key Features:
- No clear objectives
- Randomly generated agendas
- Attendees who think they know everything
- A facilitator who's secretly planning an escape
Example Agenda for a Typical Meeting:
- 10:00 - "So, I had this really cool idea the other day..." (3 hours)
- 11:30 - "Wait, what were we talking about again?"
- 12:00 - "I think we need to rebrand the company with a new logo, and also a new color scheme, and also a new font..."
- 1:00 - "Can someone pass the donuts?"
Pro Tips:
- Bring a snack
- Wear a helmet
- Don't try to escape, it's just a meeting
