Brooklyn Bridge, New York - The iconic, slightly less iconic, but still pretty great bridge that connects Brooklyn to Manhattan. I mean, who doesn't love a good walk across a bridge with 2.4 million people around you?
I visited the Brooklyn Bridge for the first time in 2010, when it was still a bit of a mess. The construction was going on, and I swear, I saw more scaffolding than I saw of the bridge itself. But, hey, that's what makes it so charming, right? The smell of wet paint and desperation in the air?
Fast forward to 2015, when I visited again, and it was a whole different story. The bridge was all fixed up, and the views were simply... simply... ugh, not as great as I expected, but still, it's the Brooklyn Bridge, so I'll give it a pass.
You know what they say: 'if it's not broke, don't fix it.' I mean, who needs a nice view when you can have a nice view of the Queensboro Bridge? Click to see more!I'll never forget the time I got stuck on the bridge for 4 hours because I tried to take a selfie with a bridge troll. Long story short, I'm still getting therapy for it.
Park East and other fun places to get lost in.I've heard that on a clear night, you can even see Manhattan's lights from here! But I've also heard that's just an urban myth, and I'm still waiting for someone to prove it to me.
