AGENDA ITEM 1: THE INFLATABLE SWAN OF BUDGETING
We, the members of the Inflatable Swan of Budgeting, met to discuss the pressing issue of budgeting for the upcoming year. We debated the merits of saving for the next 5 years versus splurging for avocado toast.
Chairperson, Bob, led the discussion, citing the importance of fiscal responsibility. Vice-Chairperson, Carol, argued that fiscal responsibility is overrated and we should all just live for the moment.
Member, Dave, proposed a compromise: "Let's just budget for the first 5 years, but then we can splurge on avocado toast for the rest of our lives." The room fell silent as the members contemplated the merits of Dave's plan.
After much debate, we voted to adopt a hybrid budgeting approach, combining the wisdom of Bob and Carol, with a dash of Dave's recklessness.
