Underconfident, Overthinking, Analyzing

A Guide to Not Getting Anything Done

Welcome, fellow overthinkers! Are you tired of accomplishing tasks with ease, only to spend hours second-guessing and rehashing every detail? Do you find yourself constantly weighing the pros and cons of every decision, only to end up doing nothing at all? Then you're in luck! This guide is here to help you hone your skills in underconfidence, overtthinking, and analyzing, ensuring you'll never have to leave the comfort of your couch again.

Chapter 1: The Art of Underconfidence

Underconfidence is the art of being so unsure of oneself that one's actions are dictated by fear of failure. It's a delicate balance between self-doubt and self-fulfillment, where you simultaneously believe you can do it but also can't do it, and therefore, don't do anything at all.

Example: You start a new project, but then spend the next few days reading every blog post, watching YouTube tutorials, and buying every book on the subject. You're so afraid of not doing it right that you do nothing at all, and therefore, it never gets done.

Chapter 2: The Overthinking of Overthinking

Overthinking is when you've underconfidently decided to do something, but then proceed to analyze every possible outcome until you're paralyzed by the sheer weight of your own thoughts.

Example: You've decided to make a decision, but then spend hours thinking about every possible scenario, including what-ifs, maybes, and possibly-might-haves. You're so caught up in your thoughts that you forget to actually take action, and therefore, the decision never gets made.

Chapter 3: Analyzing the Analyzing

Analyzing is when you're so caught up in overthinking that you start to analyze your own analysis, creating an infinite loop of self-doubt and indecision.

Example: You're trying to decide between two options, but then you start to think about why you're thinking about it, and then you start to analyze your own thoughts, and then you start to question your own questioning, and... well, you get the idea.

Subchapter 1: Subtleties

Subtleties are the subtle ways in which underconfidence, overthinking, and analyzing combine to create a perfect storm of indecision.

Example: You're planning a party, but then you start to think about the color scheme, and then you start to overthink the playlist, and then you analyze every possible guest's favorite color and music taste, and then you underconfidently decide that it's all too much and cancel the party altogether.
