Purpose of this mandate: to increase visibility of sock drawer contents and to encourage citizens to take up more fashionable footwear choices
By the power invested in me, Mandate-Overlord, all citizens are hereby required to don matching socks on Tuesdays. Failure to comply will result in fines, penalties, and possible forced viewing of an endless loop of elevator music.
