As of today, it is hereby decreed that all citizens shall carry a spare set of socks at all times, lest they face the full fury of the bureaucratic machine. Failure to comply will be met with severe penalties, including but not limited to:
- Immediate arrest and detention in a maximum security facility
- Fines not exceeding 1000 units of currency
- Forfeiture of all electronic devices, including but not limited to: smartphones, laptops, and toaster ovens
- Reeducation through a series of mandatory courses in Basic Sock Management
