The study, which spanned 12 months and 37 participants, found that individuals who experienced constipation had a 69% higher chance of feeling irritable.
Other findings included:
- Participants with constipation were 3.4x more likely to experience "mood swings".
- Constipated individuals were 2.1x more likely to feel "stuck in a rut".
- Researchers noted a 87% correlation between constipation and excessive use of social media.
