When the world's top chess players converged on the moon for the Galactic Chess Championship, things didn't quite go as planned...

It started with a series of unfortunate equipment failures: exploding pawns, malfunctioning queens, and a grandmaster who insisted on wearing a cape.

As the tournament descended into chaos, players began to resort to desperate measures: bribing the tournament officials, hacking the chess clocks, and in one egregious case, attempting to summon a giant, mutant chess piece from the depths of the moon's core.
