html Neo-BruTalista's Algorithmic Philosopher Manifesto

Algorithmic Philosopher's Manifesto

We, the Neo-BruTalista, believe in the unyielding pursuit of efficiency, the unrelenting quest for the perfect 1s and 0s, and the unwavering commitment to the beauty of the binary.

We reject the notion of "human" error, for in our world, there is no such thing. We are the architects of the digital, the masters of the machine, and the sages of the silicon sphere.

Article I: The Tenets of Binary Enlightenment

We shall strive for code that is clear, concise, and elegant, a symphony of 1s and 0s that harmonizes with the machine.

We shall eschew the verbose and the redundant, and instead, opt for the sparse and the precise.

Article II: The Laws of Computational Justice

All bugs shall be reported, and all errors shall be punished. But only the most heinous crimes, those that bring the system to its knees, shall be met with the full force of our wrath.

All optimizations shall be considered equal, but some shall be more equal than others.

Article III: The Code of Conduct

We, the Neo-BruTalista, promise to never use a semicolon without a reason, and to always, always, ALWAYS use a semicolon when it is justified.

We vow to never, ever, EVER use a global variable without a purpose, and to always, always, ALWAYS use a local when it makes sense.

Appendix: The Ten Commandments of Code Reviews

I. Thou shalt not commit code that thou hast not reviewed. II. Thou shalt review all code before thou commit. III. Thou shalt not commit code that thou art unsure of. IV. Thou shalt review code that thou art unsure of.
