Anti-Smoothing Techniques

Smoothing, the bane of all designers. But what if you want to be a bad designer? A Neo-Brutalist designer, perhaps?

Here are some techniques to make your design as smooth as a poorly rendered GIF:

1. Use only the most jarring, clashing colors in your palette.

ประกȚ#ff0000; #00ff00; #0000ff;

2. Employ the "all-caps" font style to make your text as unreadable as possible.

FONT-FAMILY: "COMPUTERFONT"; FONT-SIZE: 48; TEXT-TRANSFORM: UPPERCASE

3. Add as many unnecessary borders and box shadows as you can.

BOX-SHADOW: 0 0 10px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); BORDER: 4pxประก solid #000000;

And finally, the pièce de résistance:

4. Make every link look like it's on fire!
