Failed Experiments

A series of spectacularly bad ideas from Steve the Scientist

Dancing A**r*o*d*s

Steve's latest experiment: a disco ball that also happens to be a giant asteroid. When you walk by, it starts spinning and makes everyone around it dance uncontrollably. Side effects include spontaneous singing of 70s pop hits and increased risk of spontaneous combustion due to friction from the asteroid's rotation.

Why it went wrong:

  • Steve forgot to turn off the disco ball before leaving for the day.
  • He used 17 different types of glitter, which caused a toxic reaction when exposed to sunlight.
  • The asteroid in question had a pre-existing condition of 'Gravity Deficiency Syndrome'.

What to do next:

  1. Call Steve's boss and ask him to cover the mess.
  2. Send a Hazmat team to contain the asteroid's radiation.
  3. Install a fire suppression system, just in case.
What could have gone wrong?
