The Early Days: 1950s

It all began with a group of misfits, known as the "Brutalist Brotherhood," who defied the conventional norms of design and architecture. Their manifesto: "Form follows function, but only when function is also ugly."

The Rise of the Movement: 1960s-70s

As the Brotherhood gained popularity, their brutalist ideals spread like wildfire. Buildings with raw, unfinished concrete and exposed ductwork became the epitome of style. The phrase "Brutalist Chic" was coined, and the world would never be the same.

As the world moved on, the Brutalist movement faced a backlash. Critics claimed our buildings were "uninhabitable" and "unlivable." But we stood strong, like a fortress of solitude, and continued to build.
