As we left off in Chapter 1: The Feline Overlord's Rise to Power, our feline overlord had just ascended to the throne, with a flick of her tail and a flicker of her whiskers. But with great power comes great responsibility, and now she has to deal with the pesky problem of her subjects' catnapping habits.
It seems that the subjects have taken to stealing each other's catnip, and the overlord is at her wit's end. She summons her trusted advisor, a wise old cat named Mee-ow-sa, to help her find a solution.
"Your Highness," Mee-ow-sa said, "we must take a firm stance against these feline thieves. We need to establish a catnip cartel, with strict controls and regulations to prevent hoarding and theft."
The overlord listened intently, but she was not convinced. "I'm not sure that's the solution we need, Mee-ow-sa," she said. "We must consider the root cause of the problem."
"Mee-ow-sa, my good advisor," she said, "let us not forget that catnip is a natural resource, and we must find ways to encourage its growth and production. I propose we establish a catnip farm, where our subjects can come and harvest their own catnip as needed."
Mee-ow-sa looked skeptical, but the overlord was firm in her conviction. "I think this could be the solution we need," she said. "Let us proceed with the catnip farm, and see how it plays out."
