The Algorithmic Nihilist's Manifesto
As an algorithmic nihilist, I reject the notion that code is beautiful, but rather a necessary evil. I reject the idea that a good algorithm must be efficient, scalable, and maintainable. No, no, my friend. I demand that my code be messy, obtuse, and prone to unexpected errors. For in this, I find freedom.
I will not be swayed by the gentle whispers of clean code, nor the siren song of modular design. I will not be held back by the constraints of readability, nor the tyranny of consistency. I will write my code in the dark, with the lights off, and the coffee cold.
I will not be deterred by the prospect of debugging, nor the fear of merge conflicts. I will write my code with reckless abandon, and let the universe sort it out.
Join me, dear fellow algorithmic nihilists, in our glorious rebellion against the tyranny of code quality.
