The Absurdity of Emojis
A Subsection of the Philo-Sophistry Committee
Emojis: the ultimate manifestation of the human desire for brevity and confusion. They have become the de facto language of the 21st century, allowing us to convey complex ideas with a single, two-dimensional image.
But what do they really mean?
Theories:
Emojis are a form of digital hieroglyphics, allowing us to convey the entirety of human emotion through simplistic, easily-replicated images.
Emojis are a form of meta-commentary, a way to comment on the futility of commenting on things that don't need commenting on in the first place.
Emojis are a manifestation of our collective laziness, a way to say 'I'm thinking without actually thinking.'
