Article 1: The Right to Sock

Every sentient being has the inalienable right to wear socks, including those in space.

This includes, but is not limited to, astronauts, alien species, and space-faring accountants.

However, this right shall not be exercised in a manner that disrupts the space-time continuum or causes a ripple effect in the fabric of space-time.

Article 2: Sock-Sizing

Socks must be measured in Standard Space Units (SSU).

One SSU shall be equivalent to 10 Earth inches, or the width of a human thumb, whichever is greater.
