Principles of Legibility

According to our totally-not- scientific research, the key principles of legibility are:

The Golden Ratio of Line Spacing: 2.618:1

This is the secret to making your font look fancy and not like a kindergartener's scribbles.

The Law of Ascending Line Height: the bigger, the better

We're talking font sizes, folks. Don't be shy, be bold.

The Principle of Contrast: Don't be like my aunt, always wear black on white

Or black on black, or white on white, or... you get the idea.

That's all for today, folks. Remember, legibility is key. Or is it? Read on for more questionable principles!
