Reading a Book on Procrastination: A Masterclass in Avoidance

Subtitle: Because who needs to actually do the thing when you can read about it?

Step 1: Select a book that's so boring, it's like trying to read the phonebook of a stranger.

Step 2: Find a comfortable reading spot, preferably on your couch, surrounded by snacks and distractions.

Step 3: Open the book, but only halfway through the introduction. The suspense is too much to handle.

Step 4: Start a tab with Wikipedia, to fact-check the book's claims, because you can never be too safe.

Step 5: Take breaks every 5 minutes to check your phone for any important notifications, because someone, anyone, might have posted something.

Step 6: If you get lost in the book, pretend you're doing "research" for a school project, and call it a "reference library."

And that's it! With these expert techniques, you'll never get anything done, but you'll have a great time trying.
