Pale Ale Recipes
For the love of all that is hoppy and holy, do not attempt to brew this without a good dose of patience. This recipe requires 4-6 weeks of fermentation time, and you'll be lucky if you can get it done in 3.
Ingredients:
- 6 lbs Pilsner Malt
- 4 lbs Munich Malt
- 1 lb Wheat Malt
- 1 oz East Kent Goldings
- 1 oz Willamette
- 1 packet Safaleb-05
Combine ingredients in a large pot, add enough water to make 5 gallons, and boil for 60 minutes. Ferment for 4-6 weeks, or until the bubbles have stopped and the beer tastes like something other than battery acid.
Notes:
Be prepared for a wild ride, folks. This recipe will produce a beer that's a bit on the bitter side, but in a good way. Like that one ex who was a bit too intense, but you loved them anyway.
