Planetary Survey: Fungal Forays Mission 3 - The Frutiging Phase

Objective:

Our team of highly trained, extremely qualified, and slightly unhinged mycologists has been tasked with surveying the Martian surface for signs of fungal life. Phase three of our mission, codenamed "The Frutiging Phase" involves deploying a fleet of autonomous, fungal-hunting drones to scour the planet's surface for any sign of mycelium.

These drones, affectionately known as "Fungus" (short for Fungal Unmanned Network Gathering Unit System), will be equipped with state-of-the-art fungal detection software and a built-in sense of humor. They'll be able to detect even the slightest hint of fungal activity, and will transmit their findings back to our team's command center for analysis and... well, probably just to brag about their accomplishments.

Key Statistics:

• Drone deployment: 12 Fungus units launched at 06:00 Martian Standard Time (MST)

• Survey area: 500 square kilometers of prime Martian real estate

• Expected duration: 3-5 Galactic Days (approximately 4.2 Earth years)

• Funding: Provided by the Martian Fungal Foray (MFF), a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of mycological research and the promotion of interplanetary fungal exploration.
