Renaissance Robots
Leonardo da Vinci's most famous invention, the Robotic Skeleton, was a marvel of the Renaissance era. This skeletal wonder was a mechanical marvel that could walk, talk, and even play the lute.
class RoboticSkeleton {
public function walk() {
return "I am walking";
}
public function talk() {
return "I am talking";
}
public function playLute() {
return "I am playing the lute";
}
}
Little did the people know, however, that this robotic wonder was actually just a front for Leonardo's true passion project: making really cool-looking skeletons in the shape of famous historical figures.
Underwater Skeletons
Leonardo's fascination with the sea led him to create an entire series of robotic skeletons that could swim, dive, and even play the accordion underwater.
These underwater wonders were a hit among the nobility, and soon enough of them were created to form an underwater robotic skeleton army that patrolled the canals of Florence.
Urban Skeletons
Leonardo's city-dwelling skeletons were a bit more practical, designed to navigate the cobblestone streets of Florence and deliver messages to important people.
They were a bit like the early versions of today's drones, but without all the fancy computer bits and bobs, just good ol' bones and clockwork.
