Lesson 1: The art of creating a fishy email

Use a fake email address, a fake sender name, and a fake subject that will make your victim's heart skip a beat. Add some convincing graphics and a dash of desperation to really make it reel 'em in.

  1. Use a .com domain instead of .gov or .org. Trust is built with a .com.
  2. Make sure your email client is set to 'Outlook Express' or 'Hotmail' for that extra layer of authenticity
  3. Use words like "urgent" and "limited time only" to create a sense of desperation
