Panic Button Techniques: Redirection of Responsibility 2.2

Technique 1: The Redirect
The first step to mastering the art of redirecting responsibility is to practice, practice, practice. Start by assigning small tasks to your coworkers and then promptly forgetting you gave them to them.
For example, you can tell a subordinate that you need them to handle the Johnson report, then promptly walk away while whispering, "I'm not responsible for that."
By mastering this technique, you will save time and mental energy, and your coworkers will learn to fend for themselves. Or, at the very least, they will be confused and frustrated.
