The Futility of Perfection

Section 3, subsection 3-1-5: A Treatise on the Futility of Perfection

As we all know, getting it just so is a myth. A cruel, cruel myth.

Take, for example, the perfect slice of toast. You can try and try, but it'll always be a little too crispy, a little too burnt.

Or what about the perfect cup of coffee? You can adjust the ratio of cream to coffee, the grind of the beans, the temperature of the water, but it'll always be a little too hot, a little too cold.

And don't even get me started on the perfect joke. You can practice your delivery, your timing, your punchline, but it'll always fall flat.

It's a futile pursuit, my friends. A never-ending cycle of striving, of striving, of... futility!
