Why I Hate Small Talk

You know, it's just so... fluffy. Like a fluffy, awkward, conversation-ending pit of doom. "How's the weather?" No. Just, no. "How's the family?" Ugh, really, how's the family? "Just the usual, thanks." The usual? The usual? Is that even a thing?

And don't even get me started on "What do you do?" "I'm a therapist." "Oh, really?" Yeah, really. I'm a therapist. Like it's not obvious from the couch I'm sitting in.

Small Talk is the Devil
