UX Ethics 101
UX Ethics 101
Where Function Meets Guilt
Welcome to the dark world of UX Ethics, where the pursuit of usability meets the crushing weight of responsibility.
The 5 Commandments:
- Thou shalt not create a website that looks like a 90s dial-up internet page
- Thou shalt prioritize accessibility above all else, lest the disabled user feel thy scorn
- Thou shalt not use Comic Sans, for the love of all that is good and holy
- Thou shalt make thy navigation clear, lest users be lost in a sea of confusing links
- Thou shalt not use too many fonts, lest thy design look like a hot mess
Remember, UX Ethicist, the line between good and evil is thin, but the line between a well-crafted design and a poorly-crafted design is thinner still.
