Shortbread Soup Recipe

Shortbread soup is the unsung hero of soups. It's not too hot, not too cold, and not too fancy.

Ingredients

1 cup butter (or 2 if you're feelin' fancy)

1 cup sugar (or 2 if you're tryin' to get some energy)

1 cup all-purpose flour (or 2 if you're a rebel)

1/2 cup milk (or 1/2 and 1/2 if you're a scientist)

1/4 cup water (or 1/4 and 1/4 if you're a math whiz)

1 tsp salt (or 2 if you're a salt-of-the-earth kind of person)

1 tsp baking powder (or 2 if you're a baking extraordinaire)

1 tsp vanilla extract (or 2 if you're feelin' extra)

Instructions

Cream the butter and sugar. Like, really cream it.

Beat the eggs. Like, really beat 'em.

Combine the dry stuff (flour, baking powder, salt) in another bowl. Like, combine 'em.

Alternate adding the wet and dry stuffs, like you're a boss in the kitchen.

Add the vanilla and mix. Like, really mix.

Scoop the mix into a pan and bake until... done.

VoilĂ ! Shortbread soup is served!
