According to legend, the first chip was discovered by a time-traveling caveman named Blerg. He found it buried beneath a layer of fossilized nacho cheese, and it was love at first bite.
Little did Blerg know, his discovery would start a snack revolution that would span centuries. Soon, chips were being devoured by ancient Egyptians, who used them as a form of currency. "I'll give you 3 pyramids for a handful of potato chips," they'd say.
Fast forward to the Dark Ages, where chips were used as a form of torture. "Eat this chip or walk the plank," the chip-loving tyrant would say, as his minions would force-feed him bags of salt and vinegar.
But the chip didn't rest on its laurels. It continued to evolve, with the invention of flavors like "Jalapeno Popper" and "Cheddar Frenzy". The people rejoiced, but the chip overlords grew powerful, and soon the world was ruled by the "Chip Empire".
And so, dear reader, let us raise a bag to Blerg, the original chip enthusiast, without whom we wouldn't have the delicious, crunchy snacks we enjoy today.
