Bacon-Topped Tater Tot Bites: The Overstuffed Edition
These aren't your average T_goals. Oh no. These are OVERSTUFFED with love, care, and a hint of desperation.
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of tater tots
- 1/4 cup of cream cheese (we're talkin' the good stuff)
- 1/4 cup of crumbled bacon (because everything's better with bacon)
- 1 egg, beaten (for that extra oomph)
- 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese (or more, we won't judge)
- 1/4 cup of chopped onion (optional, but why not?]
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Don't bother with that fancy-schmancy convection thingy.
- Place tater tots in a bowl and mash with a spoon until they're nice 'n' tender.
- Mix cream cheese, crumbled bacon, egg, cheddar, and onion (if using) in a separate bowl. Stir like your life depends on it.
- Pour cheese mixture over tater tots. Stir some more. Like, seriously, a lot more.
- Scoot tots into a baking dish. Top with more cheese (because you can never have too much cheese, duh).
- Slam into oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool. Then stuff your face.
And that's it! Now, if you're feeling extra fancy, you can try Bacon-Wrapped Pretzel Bites or Bacon-Wrapped, Bacon-Topped Potato Skin Chips.
Or, you know, just eat the whole bag of tater tots. We won't judge you.
