Legend has it that the first sock puppet was created by a bored 3-year-old named Timmy who was tired of his mom's nagging to clean up his toys. One fateful day in 1956, Timmy decided to use a missing sock to entertain himself by stuffing it with rubber bands, markers, and his mom's hair.
Thus began the sock puppet revolution.
