Overview
Sort your socks into neat little piles with our proprietary Sock Sorting Algorithm, version 7.1.
Our patented process involves assigning each sock to a specific category based on its:
- Matchingness (i.e., does it have a partner?)
- Color (i.e., is it pastel, neon, or a dull earth tone?)
- Material (i.e., cotton, polyester, or that weird fuzzy stuff?)
- Smell (i.e., is it fresh, musty, or has that one weird smell that's just...off?)
Procedure
Step 1: Gather all your socks and place them in a large bin.
Step 2: Sort by matchingness.
- For each pair, determine if it is a matching pair or a single, lone sock.
- If matching, place it in the "Matched" box.
- If single, place it in the "Singles" box.
Step 3: Sort by color.
- For each pair, determine if it is a pastel, neon, or a dull earth tone.
- Place pastel pairs in the "Pastel Pairs" box.
- Place neon pairs in the "Neon Pairs" box.
- Place dull earth tone pairs in the "Dull Pairs" box.
Step 4: Sort by material.
- For each pair, determine if it is cotton, polyester, or that weird fuzzy stuff.
- Place cotton pairs in the "Cotton Piles" box.
- Place polyester pairs in the "Poly Piles" box.
- Place fuzzy stuff pairs in the "Fuzzy Frenzy" box.
Step 5: Sort by smell.
- For each pair, determine if it has a fresh, musty, or that one weird smell that's just...off?
- Place fresh pairs in the "Freshly Breezy" box.
- Place musty pairs in the "Musty Mishmash" box.
- Place off-smelling pairs in the "Ewww, That's Gross" box.
