Justifying your actions is an art form, really. It's all about making excuses sound so convincing, you might as well be telling the truth.
Step 1: Blame it on the cat. "I was just trying to feed my cat, and it was being really stubborn, so I had to justify my procrastination."
Step 2: Use science. "Studies have shown that procrastination is actually a sign of intelligence, so I'm just a visionary, ahead of the curve."
Step 3: Appeal to their emotions. "Think of all the good times we've had, the memories we've made, the Netflix binges we've shared. Do you really want to be the one ruining this perfect streak prophets?"
And finally, Step 4: Offer an alternative solution. "I was going to do that thing, but then I realized it's not worth doing. Let's just do this instead, and it'll be way better, trust me."
