When to Use It
When to use a sock drawer as a justification for your existence, and when to let it be a prison of forgotten dreams.
When you're feeling down, a sock drawer can be a place of solace. The softness of the fabric, the comfort of the familiarity. But be warned: it can also be a pit of despair.
Use it as a justification when:
- You've lost your favorite sock and are trying to convince yourself it's not that big of a deal.
- You've run out of clean laundry detergent and are using it as an excuse to avoid doing the dishes.
- You've been feeling particularly existential and are seeking comfort in the mundane.
But don't use it as a prison:
- When you're stuck in an infinite loop of 'one more load of laundry'.
- When you're hoarding socks because you think you might need them for 'that one special occasion'
- When you're trying to justify buying more socks because 'you can never have too many'.
