Socks Olympics: Soccer Socks Rules

Article 1: Sock Design

Socks with designs that are deemed "distracting" or "obscene" are not allowed.

• Examples of distracting design include:
• More than 5% of the sock is covered in glitter
• Designs that are too close to actual soccer logos
• Any depiction of a cat in a tutu

Article 2: Sock Size

Socks must be made of a material that can withstand at least 2 washes without shrinking or losing shape.

Sock Material Specifications

• Material must be 100% cotton, 80/20 polyester-cotton blend, or at least 50% recycled materials

Socks that do not meet these criteria are subject to disqualification from competition.
