In this, the first round of the Socky Debate, we pit the Sock of Steel (a sturdy, no-nonsense sock) against the Sock of Fluff (a whimsical, novelty sock with a penchant for getting lost in the wash).

The Sock of Steel, with its rugged, utilitarian design, argues that its functionality and durability are the keys to a happy sock life. "I am the sock you want to wear when you're hiking, or doing laundry, or generally just existing," it says.

The Sock of Fluff, on the other hand, counters that its sheer frivolity and charm are what set it apart. "I am the sock you want to wear when you're making a statement, or attending a themed party, or just because I'm a really, really fun sock," it claims.
