What is the Zero-G Housing Crisis?
As the space program continues to expand, the need for living space has increased exponentially. With the average space colonist requiring a minimum of 1000 cubic meters of habitable space, the supply has simply not kept pace.
This has led to an increase in space squatting, where individuals and organizations are claiming unoccupied asteroids and abandoned space stations as their own, often with violent disputes ensuing between rival claimants.
The Galactic Union has proposed a new regulation to address this issue: the Zero-G Housing Law. This law dictates that all claimed space must be clearly marked with neon pink signs, and that any unmarked space is considered "free space" until it is claimed by a recognized space authority.
