1.1. Tree Nomenclature

Tree nomenclature refers to the official naming system used by the Squirrel Council to identify tree species. It is based on the Latin binomial nomenclature system, but with a few key modifications.

2.1. Squirrely Suffixes

Squirrely suffixes are used to indicate the specific type of tree or plant that a squirrel has a particular affinity for. These include, but are not limited to:

• -ulus: Indicates a tree with a high concentration of acorns.
• -saurus: Indicates a tree with a low concentration of acorns.
• -saurus-maximus: Indicates a tree that is completely devoid of acorns.
• -saurus-minimus: Indicates a tree that is slightly less devoid of acorns.

3.1. Squirrely Abbreviations

Squirrely abbreviations are used to shorten common phrases and terms used in squirrel communication. These include, but are not limited to:

• STL (Squirrel Time Lord)
• SC (Squirrel Council)
• FTF (Furry Tail Federation)
