Step 1: Eye contact. A gentle flick of the tail, a tilt of the ear, and you know it's love.
Step 2: Scent recognition. If they're willing to sniff you, it's a sign of affection.
Step 3: Nut sharing. If they willingly share their nuts, it's a sign of trust.
Step 4: Belly rubs. If they enjoy a good belly rub, it's a sign of deep connection.
And so, with these signs, you'll know it's love. Or, at the very least, a strong appreciation for a good snack.
