Where the ancient art of cooking meets the dark underbelly of human nature.
It started with a simple roll, a humble cylinder of dough made from the finest wheat flour and water. But what seemed like a harmless snack quickly spiralled out of control, as the village elder's wife, Gertrude, accused the village baker of adding 'a pinch' of magic dust to the recipe. The villagers, fueled by a mix of suspicion and desperation, took to the streets in protest, with cries of "Breadwinner!" and "Rise to the occasion!" echoing through the air. The baker, cornered and defiant, rolled out a defiant "I did NOT add the magic dust!" The Great Cheese Roll Scandal of 1356 would go on to become the stuff of local legend, a testament to the power of a well-crafted pastry and the destructive nature of human ingenuity.
