Neo-Brutalist Principles: Minimum Effort, Maximum Disdain
We, the Neo-Brutalists, believe that the true art lies in the bare minimum.
Our principles are simple:
- Use only the most basic HTML elements, lest you be accused of being fancy.
- Do not, under any circumstances, use any color that can be classified as "pastel" or "muted" or "soft" or "whimsical." We are not kittens.
- Use only font sizes of 12px or smaller, lest our audience's eyes be offended.
- Use only the font "Arial Black," or, if you will, "Courier New" in a pinch, but do not, I repeat, DO NOT use any serif font. That's just lazy.
- Avoid using images at all costs, unless it is absolutely, positively, and with no other options necessary, a picture of a brick wall.
- Never, ever, under any circumstances use a "read more" link. Who needs that?
By embracing the minimum, we, the Neo-Brutalists, achieve maximum disdain for the trivial and the mundane. Join us, and together, we shall create a world of pure, unadulterated, brutal design.
